Up until a few weeks ago, I wasn’t interested in any of my country’s matter, didn’t support any political party or took interest, didn’t bother myself to know about the issues in Pakistan, and only thought that the only way to develop myself in anyway is to stay away from anything that wastes my time (that I thought taking interest in politics and watching news would do) and work as hard as I can to stand where I need myself to stand. But I would be wrong to think that the development of one’s country doesn’t play any role in one’s own development as an individual.

While the working hard for myself part is hopefully not going away anywhere soon, but listening to the way Imran Khan addresses the country issues and then sharing his plan for the nation in his victory speech and on his address to the nation today surely opened my eyes. While the previous governments seemed hopeless and talked about how they can not ever get rid of corruption and people must get used to it, Imran Khan sheds light on every major issues in detail and promises to fight against all of them. Boy did I have to watch Asif Ali Zardari’s 7 mins and Nawaz Sharif’s 17 mins address to the nation in 2008 and 2013 after watching Imran Khan’s address to the nation today, the differences between them is HUGE! The truthfulness that you see in Khan’s eyes when he promises and the positive energy he puts out in his speech are…
